From our Garden Manager, Natalie Flores:
Working for Kiss the Ground has been tremendously rewarding. We just received a grant that helps us with our goal of working with more low-income community members as well as the homeless population in the City of Angels.
It has been my experience that no one benefits more then while spending time in a garden. I came to the garden for therapy and as a means to sustain myself by growing as much of my own food as possible. What I received while working in the garden exceeded my wildest expectations. I have learned patience and compassion, made life long friends, grown food for an entire community, prepared food with strangers, exchange knowledge with teachers, and taught kids to get dirty again and to play with worms! I am so thankful that I get to do this work on this planet and this time, I want to inspire everyone I know to come and play and remember to kiss the ground.
