What is Kiss the Ground?
Kiss the Ground is an audience-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit promoting Regeneration and healthy soil as a viable solution for human and planetary health through storytelling, education, and partnerships.
For every $100 donated to Kiss the Ground, we inspire and catalyze the transition of 10 acres into regenerative agriculture, working directly with farmers, consultants, and various partners. Learn more here.
What is regenerative agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture is a holistic approach to working in harmony with nature to restore soil health. Check out our Guide to Regenerative Agriculture to dig deeper.
Why does soil health matter?
Healthy soil is the foundation of thriving ecosystems and human well-being. It acts as a living system teeming with microbes, fungi, earthworms, and other organisms that drive nutrient cycling, support plant growth, and maintain biodiversity.
Regenerative agriculture practices, guided by both indigenous knowledge and modern science, build soil health which safeguards food production, protects water resources, boosts biodiversity, and builds a more stable future for communities and ecosystems alike.
How does regenerative agriculture help climate change?
Healthy soils sequester carbon from the atmosphere, reducing greenhouse gases and helping regulate the climate. They also resist erosion, retain more water during droughts, filter pollutants, and enhance resilience to climate extremes like floods and heatwaves.
Widescale soil regeneration can be a powerful form of sequestration that turns farmlands into carbon sinks – rather than sources of emissions. While not a standalone solution, regenerative approaches offer one of the most accessible and scalable ways to mitigate climate impacts, improve farm productivity, and restore ecosystem balance for future generations

Farmers
Do I need to already be practicing regenerative agriculture to engage with Kiss the Ground?
We champion the journey and meet farmers where they are. We offer educational resources for farmers that are just beginning to explore regenerative practices or are curious about a few specific changes. There is no one “right” starting point, and no requirement to fully convert systems all at once.
To be featured on the map, we do monitor the journey by requesting you start with three regenerative farming practices, or, a Regenerative Certification.
What is the Kiss the Ground Regenerative Farm Map?
The Regenerative Farm Map is a public, opt-in map that highlights farmers and ranchers in the USA* practicing or exploring regenerative agriculture. Its purpose is to support and amplify farmers while helping people get to know and connect with regenerative farmers in their region—not to evaluate or certify farms. Check it out here.
How do I get listed on the Farmer Map?
Farmers and ranchers in the USA* can submit their information through a short Farmer Form. Listing is voluntary, and you control what information is shared publicly. Submitting the form does not commit you to any program or partnership. Each farm is updated annually with any new information as they progress or as needed.
*We currently only feature farms in the USA, but are working to expand internationally. Please fill out the international waitlist form here to be first to join our international Regenerative Farm Map.
Does Kiss the Ground provide grants or financial support?
In 2025, Kiss the Ground supported small farms with $500K for equipment, supplies, and on-the-ground education, leading to the regenerative transition of 73K acres.
We remain committed to helping farmers and ranchers transition to regenerative practices by reducing the financial barriers and risks that come with it.
When you apply for our Farmer Map, you’ll be added to our farmer database and you’ll be the first to hear about new grant opportunities!
How can I find local programs or assistance?
Contact your local Soil and Water Conservation District, Cooperative Extension office, or agricultural department for region-specific support. You can also check out our Farmer Resource’s Guide!
Is this tied to certification or required practices?
Kiss the Ground is not a certifier, we uplift all who are advancing the regenerative movement through storytelling, education, partnerships, and grants. Learn more about certifications in the USA and Globally here.

What are Kiss the Ground and Common Ground about?
Kiss the Ground is a documentary that reveals how regenerating the world’s soils can help stabilize the climate, restore ecosystems, and improve human health. Through science, storytelling, and farmer-led solutions, it shows how agriculture can shift from a problem to a powerful solution.
The film Common Ground explores how Americans from different walks of life, different political backgrounds, and different parts of the country share one mission in common – saving the soil beneath our feet. It follows farmers, scientists, and advocates restoring soil health through regenerative practices, while examining the impacts of industrial agriculture across environmental, economic, and human health.
Are the films available internationally?
Most international viewers can watch the films on Amazon Prime.
Are the films appropriate for all ages?
Kiss the Ground film is suitable for 3rd grade and up
Common Ground is suitable for 6th grade and up
Why was Amazon chosen as the streaming platform for the films?
Reaching a diverse audience is crucial to the film’s impact. Streaming the film online allows our teams to make our films accessible and inclusive of a global audience which is key to driving education and meaningful change.
Film distribution is controlled by a few major companies, so creating and distributing our films at a large scale, took strategic choices. We recognize the challenges and harm in our current structures and are dedicated to advancing a better future. At the same time, we must balance our mission with ensuring that our message reaches a wide audience in a timely way.
Change starts with education and awareness, and our aim is always to continue amplifying regeneration and healthy soil as a viable solution to our wellness, water, and climate crisis.
I have technical issues accessing the film. Who can I contact?
