A layer deeper with Anthropologie
What inspired you to work with Kiss the Ground?
In 2023, Anthropologie started working internally to introduce regenerative cotton into our fiber mix for our spring season in 2024. We knew creating products with regenerative cotton would be impactful, but we also wanted to take the initiative even further and thus created a partnership with Kiss the Ground.
We were thrilled to work with Kiss the Ground as our non-profit partner because of their incredible storytelling abilities, which brings their mission and impact to life in a powerful way. With the steadfast support of our passionate community, we’re on a mission to inspire and educate about the importance of regenerative practices, not only in our products but in the world around us.
How does your organization stay connected to nature?
This past June, our Home Office team had an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact at FarmerJawn in West Chester, Pennsylvania. FarmerJawn, a transitional regenerative, organic farm working towards their regenerative certification, in Kiss the Ground’s network, has built an agricultural model that enables regenerative organic food production and is the largest black woman-owned regenerative organic produce farm in America.
At FarmerJawn’s 128-acre farm, Home Office employees rolled up their sleeves to support the summer harvest preparations. Our volunteer day was a testament to our commitment to regenerative agriculture and our partnership with Kiss the Ground. It was inspiring to see firsthand how our efforts contribute to a healthier environment and support local food systems.
What do you do to kiss the ground? Phrased differently, how do you celebrate, support, and protect our planet?
At Anthropologie, we are committed to being a force for A Greater Good. We strive to be in better service to our planet, its people, and our products, and to incite meaningful change in our journey to become more environmentally responsible and socially conscious.
Our commitment to our planet, and regenerative agriculture more specifically, is a joint effort across our partnership and sourcing pillars. Over the last year, we have enacted various initiatives that support regenerative farming within our natural fibers, like cotton. We’ve also supported key voices in the environmental space, including our friends at Kiss the Ground, where our $100,000 donation will help inspire and catalyze the transition of 10,000 acres of land into regenerative agriculture.
We’re excited to see the ways we can continue to make an impact through our product and with the help of our partners.
"We are incredibly inspired by the work our friends at Kiss the Ground have been doing and are in awe of their ability to inspire millions of people across the country to participate in the regenerative movement."

Anthropologie's Why
As the fashion industry continues to navigate its environmental footprint, responsible practices like regenerative agriculture are emerging as crucial solutions to mitigating the wellness, water, and climate crisis.
Regenerative practices offer a responsible approach to sourcing materials like cotton, hemp, and wool. By advancing regenerative agriculture, we’re not only supporting soil health and biodiversity, but also contributing to a cleaner future for fashion.
