Gaia Herbs–
5K Acre Partner

Gaia Herbs, a leading supplement brand, shares our passion for a better future through regeneration and healthy soil. Their generous donation enables us to inspire and catalyze the transition of 5,000 acres into regenerative land.

“Thriving food systems start with healthy soil. Clover Sonoma is thrilled to partner with Kiss the Ground to support a regenerative farming renaissance, ensuring our beautiful lands can continue to nourish our communities for generations to come.”

John Coletta, CEO

While our local organic family farms already regeneratively manage over 20,000 acres of land, we crave continuous improvement when it comes to preserving the land and soil. Partnering with Kiss the Ground was a no-brainer, given our shared commitment to high sustainability standards and soil health.

We’d be clover, of course! Clover is an important part of our local ecosystem that supports pollinators in Northern California—and it’s a favorite snack among cows. We believe that raising cows with compassion and care makes delicious milk, which is why Clover Sonoma cows eat high-quality, nutritious food every day.

Clover Sonoma’s network of local organic dairies regeneratively manage more than 20,000 acres of farmland, utilizing at least five regenerative practices such as no-till farming, rotational grazing, vegetative cover, and more. We kiss the ground everyday by using these methods to ensure that the land, soil, and water can continue to nourish Californians and be enjoyed for years to come.

“We are incredibly inspired by the work our friends at Kiss the Ground have been doing and are in awe of their ability to inspire millions of people across the country to participate in the regenerative movement.”

Elizabeth Preis, Chief Marketing Officer

In 2023, Anthropologie started working internally to introduce regenerative cotton into our fiber mix for our spring season in 2024. We knew creating products with regenerative cotton would be impactful, but we also wanted to take the initiative even further and thus created a partnership with Kiss the Ground.

We were thrilled to work with Kiss the Ground as our non-profit partner because of their incredible storytelling abilities, which brings their mission and impact to life in a powerful way. With the steadfast support of our passionate community, we're on a mission to inspire and educate about the importance of regenerative practices, not only in our products but in the world around us.

This past June, our Home Office team had an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact at FarmerJawn in West Chester, Pennsylvania. FarmerJawn, a transitional regenerative, organic farm working towards their regenerative certification, in Kiss the Ground’s network, has built an agricultural model that enables regenerative organic food production and is the largest black woman-owned regenerative organic produce farm in America.

At FarmerJawn’s 128-acre farm, Home Office employees rolled up their sleeves to support the summer harvest preparations. Our volunteer day was a testament to our commitment to regenerative agriculture and our partnership with Kiss the Ground. It was inspiring to see firsthand how our efforts contribute to a healthier environment and support local food systems.

At Anthropologie, we are committed to being a force for A Greater Good. We strive to be in better service to our planet, its people, and our products, and to incite meaningful change in our journey to become more environmentally responsible and socially conscious.

Our commitment to our planet, and regenerative agriculture more specifically, is a joint effort across our partnership and sourcing pillars. Over the last year, we have enacted various initiatives that support regenerative farming within our natural fibers, like cotton. We’ve also supported key voices in the environmental space, including our friends at Kiss the Ground, where our $100,000 donation will help inspire and catalyze the transition of 10,000 acres of land into regenerative agriculture.

We’re excited to see the ways we can continue to make an impact through our product and with the help of our partners.

“Kiss the Ground is an incredible non-profit that has become a leading voice in raising awareness for regeneration through storytelling, education, and advocacy.”

Ryan Duey, Co-Founder and CEO

As part of the interview process, every applicant participates in a Plunge and Sauna session with their manager or the founders during their final round interview.

We would be a potato, because of their resiliency. Our products and our people emit resiliency.

We talk about it. Word of mouth is still the most powerful tool for getting information out. We believe in what Kiss the Ground is doing and we share it with the world.

“Both Gaia Herbs and Kiss the Ground recognize and celebrate that regenerative agriculture is not new. Indigenous cultures have always farmed this way just as humanity has always relied on herbs for healing. Blending this ancient wisdom with modern science is at the heart of everything we do at Gaia Herbs.”

Kyle Bliffert, CEO, Gaia Herbs

Kiss the Ground perfectly aligns with Gaia Herbs values. This partnership is an opportunity to elevate our impact alongside another visionary partner. Gaia Herbs has set the standard in herbal supplements for more than thirty-five years. Kiss the Ground is meeting partners where they are, and setting a new standard of collective impact.

Nature is written into our name! Gaia is the goddess of the earth, the mother of creation.

There are hundreds of ways! Spending time on our farm is unquestionably our favorite. There is nothing quite like running Gaia Herbs soil through your fingers and seeing it sparkle.

“As a brand that prides itself on using not-from-concentrate, real squeezed fruit in all of our drinks, Spindrift is thrilled to partner with Kiss the Ground to help drive awareness of the need for increased Regenerative farming practices across the US.”

Spindrift is connected to the land, and to the amazing farmers and families that grow the citrus, berries, tropical fruits, apples, etc. We want consumers to be aware of the importance of our soil and the importance in preserving it. We also want to help willing farmers make the transition to regenerative agriculture practices so healthy lands are here for many generations to come.

We are gardeners, grows, cooks, enthusiasts of the outdoors. Our team loves to explore farmers markets, natural preserves, nearby farms/orchards to ensure we have a constant appreciation of what so many small farmers do to bring fruits/vegetables/etc. to life each and every day.

If Spindrift was something that grew in the soil, we would be a lemon tree: versatile, resilient, seeking abundance and energy from the sun.

“At New Chapter, we’re committed to delivering the wisdom of Nature by crafting supplements that nourish both people and planet. We know that regenerative agriculture is essential to address climate change and soil degradation. Partnering with Kiss the Ground will help unleash the possibilities of regeneration for a healthy future.”

Blaine Streisand, CEO

TURMERIC! This is one of our favorite herbs ever. New Chapter is all about marrying the deep tradition of herbalism with the latest modern science. Turmeric is our star botanical. Turmeric has a rich history of use in many cultures for both food and medicine, AND it’s one of the most studied herbs in the modern pharmacopeia. A scaly rhizome that may seem unassuming at first glance, Turmeric hides bright gold within. And did you know that rhizomes are not just roots? Each node on a rhizome has the potential to sprout roots below and leaves above… each piece contains the whole. The nutritious, holistic nature of this ancient superfood is everything we want to be in the world. It’s no wonder Turmeric is in over 20 of our products including our multivitamins.

“Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.

Short answer? Ingredient sourcing. Volunteering. Packaging improvements. Supplier engagement. Long answer? Doing better year after year and setting goals for ourselves to do so. New Chapter is so proud to celebrate all of the ways we have already ‘kissed the ground,’ and all the goals we have set to continue doing so in our 2023 Impact Report!

“For more than 35 years, Applegate has been on a mission: Changing The Meat We Eat®️. We are grateful to work with Kiss the Ground, an organization with the goal to educate and help implement regenerative practices that support farmers, embrace animal welfare, and help to build healthy soil.”

Carolyn Gahn, Senior Director of Mission & Advocacy

On the one hand, regenerative agriculture makes so much intuitive sense: We take care of the land and it will take care of us. But how exactly healthy soil makes such a big difference can be hard to explain, especially to consumers who are so far removed from food and farming. The team at Kiss the Ground inspires us with their passionate and creative storytelling about this essential movement.

At Applegate, we are a team of foodies, adventurers and all-around do-ers. Staffers are not shy about organizing programs and activities that reflect these passions. One employee set up an office CSA; another a compost program. Earlier this year, our team organized a volunteer event with the Deep Roots Community Garden in Austin, TX.

A hotdog! Ok, hotdogs don’t actually grow in the soil. But grass does! And all our beef hotdogs are made from 100% grass-fed/grass-finished beef. Even better, by the end of 2025, our goal is to have all that beef sourced from certified regenerative grasslands.

MegaFood is a proud partner of Kiss the Ground, and we help to advance their storytelling, education, and advocacy work, progressing the regenerative agriculture movement. We both share a strong belief in the transformative power of agriculture, and this partnership reflects our combined commitment to making a meaningful difference and driving large-scale positive change.

Stacia Betley, Director of Sustainability and Social Impact

We are working to support the growers and suppliers in our supply chain through training and studies while working to improve agriculture practices. We are passionate about this cause and want to see the regenerative transition at scale, so we are thrilled to partner with Kiss the Ground, which is educating and advocating to have a more meaningful impact that goes beyond just our business or industry.

Staying connected to nature is key at MegaFood because the planet and the power of plants is at the heart of everything we do. Our generous Volunteer Paid Time Off (VPTO) program allows all regular full-time employees to receive 24 hours of paid time off to volunteer per year. This initiative gives us the opportunity to come together, both outdoors and within our community. Earlier this year, MegaFood employees volunteered on a farm in Massachusetts with The Food Project, a group that brings together youth and adults from diverse backgrounds to build a sustainable food system. We also teamed up with other New Hampshire B Corps for a beach cleanup and have many more exciting events planned for later in the year!

We kiss the ground (metaphorically) every day at MegaFood by embedding sustainability in all aspects of our business – from how we source our ingredients, to the way we make and package our products. We pull a variety of levers, including giving donations to farmers through our 1% for The Planet partnership, sourcing more sustainable ingredients, investing in our growers/suppliers, funding regenerative research with universities, and advocating for organic and regenerative agriculture.

“At King Arthur Baking Company, we believe in the power of collaboration to create meaningful change. Partnering with Kiss the Ground allows us to amplify the vital message of regeneration, empowering communities to embrace sustainable practices that nurture our soil, planet, and future generations.”

Suzanne McDowell, VP of CSR and Sustainability

At King Arthur Baking, wheat and farmers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s visiting our suppliers’ farms, helping out with local gleaning projects, or picking up fresh goodies from our local farm stand and CSA, we love getting our employee-owners out there connecting with farms, farmers, and nature!

If King Arthur Baking grew in soil, we’d definitely be wheat—strong, nourishing, and always ready to rise to the occasion. Grains are our bread and butter (literally), and like wheat, we’re all about good roots, strong partnerships, and keeping the world baking, well-fed, and happy!

“We owe our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.” – Paul Harvey

This powerful quote emphasizes the vital importance of soil and water—two fundamental elements that sustain life and agriculture. It’s a reminder of how dependent we are on the health of our planet’s resources.

Kiss the Ground’s Impact is stronger with Partnerships. For every $100 donated to Kiss the Ground, we inspire and catalyze the transition of 10 acres into regenerative agriculture, working directly with farmers, consultants, and various partners–this could be you.
