As part of the GREATER GROUND™ initiative launched by the NUTRO brand in 2022 on World Soil Day, a $5 million commitment is being made to provide growers in our supply network with training, support and funding to help with implementation of healthy soil practices over the next 5 years. Let’s not forget that our farmers are the unsung heroes, and we stand with them as they cultivate the future.

Regenerative agriculture and soil health practices help farmers and producers make their working lands more resilient, something that is widely wanted and needed. As Congress negotiates the next farm bill, Republicans and Democrats agree that we must update the process for developing new conservation practice standards at the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and make that process more transparent and accessible for all.

"Through Kiss the Ground, we have been able to access the Regrarians platform, which gave us real-time assistance and consultation for designing improvements to make our farm a more functional small-scale producer of no-till vegetables and cut flowers. Kiss the Ground also connected us to the Understanding Ag platform, a valuable resource of the methods of successful livestock breeding and rotational grazing. These two opportunities combined have set them on a path to implement soil and water conservation methods specific to our property that go beyond those that other grants covered."
