Our Collaboration
Both Asha and Kiss the Ground share a deep passion for education and advocacy. The Kiss the Ground Farmland Program is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and support for farmers seeking to build healthy soils and practice regenerative agriculture. Proceeds from Asha Apothecary sales will go directly towards funding this work. Additionally, two Asha co-founders are husband-wife co-instructors at the Cal Poly Pomona Regenerative Studies Institute, where they have integrated Kiss the Ground educational curriculum into their graduate student courses. Together we will continue to develop innovative and experiential approaches to advancing the regenerative movement.
Why Hemp?
The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill lifted the U.S. prohibition on hemp. Extremely versatile and hardy, hemp is a sustainable and natural alternative for a variety of products, including synthetic varieties of construction materials, textiles, packaging, and medicine. Hemp has been used for thousands of years for a whole range of needs, including food, therapies, and clothing. And yet never has there been a more important time to explore and expand its capabilities than now. In the face of growing ecological collapse, there is a rising consciousness around building new successful, ethical, and regenerative industries.

Today, hemp agriculture is still in its infancy in this country. Through our partnership, we aim to steer the industry towards regenerative principles and a focus on healthy soil. Asha co-founders are also currently working with the University of Southern California and the Children’s Hospital, LA to develop a research program exploring the medical potential of CBD and other cannabinoid compounds. Together, we are working to recraft the story of hemp as a vehicle to advance human health and ecological regeneration.
