An Update From Our CEO

Dear Kiss the Ground Community,

As we prepare to say goodbye to summer, focus on our fall plans, and begin to plan for a big leap forward in ‘25, I can’t help but reflect on the update I shared with you April 19, 2024. Once again I can say with absolute conviction, it’s an incredibly exciting time for Kiss the Ground, our Supporters, and the Regenerative Movement.

Over the past four months we’ve been incredibly focused on fine-tuning our operations and systems to prepare for continued momentum, our team grew by eight, and our progress is tangible on every level as we aim to bring Regeneration and healthy soil as a solution for our wellness, water, and climate crisis to the tipping point by ‘30.

Here are some ways we are doing that:

  • Kiss the Ground Coffee: Hundreds of our supporters have already participated in the launch of our certified regenerative coffee grown on a small farm in Costa Rica. Our subscription service will allow the farm to be paid 2x the standard rate for coffee production, plus $10 from each bag sold will fund our work.
  • Kiss The Ground Beer: Our partnership with Sage Bistro in L.A. led to our regeneratively sourced beer. This September it will be featured at 42 Whole Food locations in Southern California.
  • Our direct work with farmers will be celebrated this fall in a meaningful way as we roll out our latest grants impacting hundreds of farms, a map of regenerative farms, and our expanded Five With A Farmer series.
  • Stories of Regeneration: Our mini-documentary series will return this fall, which includes re-visiting and documenting BIG progress with the Schiff Farm in Delaware, and then a visit to North Dakota.
  • We continue to publish easy to understand, free regenerative resources to reach new audiences – Eggs, Dairy, Wine & Chocolate with many more to come.

Since publishing our impact language, we shared a little more information about how all of our work ties together, our approach and the metrics we measure.

In my last update, I shared that my friend Ryland, our co-founder, would transition to become a ‘strategic consultant for Kiss The Ground as he felt called to “expand my wings to serve multiple ventures, including Sovereignty Ranch, developing a consulting business, and getting more engaged politically this election year.”

That all remains true, however, as of today, Ryland is no longer actively supporting any one political campaign this election year.

Looking ahead, we are filled with optimism about the future of Kiss the Ground and Regeneration becoming a well-known solution and practice. With undeniable momentum and your continued support, we know we will make this our reality.

Thank you,

Evan Harrison
